Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care is proud to be able to provide assistance to those eligible for the Veterans Hearing Fund.
The Veterans Hearing Fund (VHF) is managed by The Royal British Legion (the Legion). It endeavours to meet the needs of all forces personnel (serving and non-serving) who have acquired a hearing loss or impairment during their Service in the UK Armed Forces through the funding of hearing aids not typically available through statutory sources.
The first thing to do is get your hearing assessed by one of our Hearing Aid Audiologists who will help you understand if you may eligible for funding. Type your postcode in the box at the bottom of the page to find your nearest Scrivens Hearing Care location.
If the results of your hearing assessment indicate that you would benefit from hearing aids, you will then need to complete an eligibility application and send it, with a copy of your Service audiometry records, to the Legion. If your application is approved, you will receive a second stage application form which must be completed by your Hearing Aid Audiologist. Please note that an invitation to stage two is not an automatic guarantee that your application for financial assistance will be approved.
You can download a copy of the eligibility application from here.
