Passion for dressmaking, luxury materials, experimentation, international feel, modernity and status are all distinctive traits of the Max Mara mood.
Max Mara or The House of Max Mara was officially founded in 1951 by Achille Maramotti. Max Mara started off as a label for menswear but soon after, a womenswear collection was introduced for women who loved high fashion but couldn’t necessarily afford it. His ethos for providing high-quality, design-forward clothing at reasonable prices has carried on to this day.
From its roots as a small Italian business, it has grown into an important international group, with 23 brands and more than 2250 boutiques in 90 countries. Designers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Dolce & Gabbana have been part of the Max Mara brand over the years.
