Went for a MECS examination. Staff were welcoming, a relaxing environment. Mrs Hammond examined me and was thorough, explained the problem and gave helpful advice. Would have no hesitation in recommending their services. Considering using them for my next eye test.

The premises was not ideal for disabled clients, but the staff member Mr Amjad was the star of the place and provided excellent customer service from start to finish.
Amjad is a gem for Scrivens brand, and if no one else can see that, they need their eyes tested!

Hearing Test had on Monday 30th March 2026 with Graham very polite and knowledgeable gentleman made me feel at ease not rushed at all. Certainly worth while having the free hearing test to have some peace of mind that all okay currently. I was greeted by all the staff on duty that day everyone always so polite and welcoming in this establishment the manager Elaine took time to say hello and check in which was kind of her to do.

I had a thorough examination and advice on the way forward. I received my prescription but no pressure placed on me to purchase new spectacles or frames. The Peterborough Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care branch is located in the middle of the high street next to the Bull Hotel and just 500 yards from the Cathedral. If you have never visited us before and are looking for an opticians in Peterborough, our store is conveniently located in the town centre with easy access.  There are numerous bus services within walking distance of our Peterborough store, Queensgate bus station is only a five minute walk away. Alternatively, if you are coming by car there is free parking available on North Street, which is a three minute walk away. For rail users, the nearest train station is Peterborough station, which is a 10 minute walk from our branch.
