⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Life-Changing Service!
I want to say a huge thank you to the team at Scrivens Hythe for providing the most amazing, professional, and friendly service.
My hearing had not been great for a while. I was originally referred by my doctor, but I have since found out that you can actually self-refer to them completely on the NHS.
The Appointment & Fitting:
Arrived for a 4:00 PM appointment.
Received a physical ear check and a thorough hearing test.
Results showed that hearing aids would be highly beneficial.
The team fitted a pair for me on the spot.
The Technology:
The audiologist showed me exactly how to maintain the devices.
They helped me set up the phone app to tweak settings for different environments.
They connected my phone directly to the hearing aids for seamless audio.
The Results:
Within the hour, I was walking back to my car with my new aids fitted. It was a true walk of discovery. I could immediately hear my keys jangling, birds chirping, and distant noises.
Since the fitting, the daily impact has been incredible:
In the car: I can hear conversations clearly above the tyre rumble.
At home: No more need for subtitles on the TV.
Everyday sounds: I can hear the crackle of crisp packets, running tap water, and song lyrics on the radio.
It was an oddly emotional experience realising just how much I had been missing out on. This has been completely life-changing in the most fantastic way. Thank you all so much!

Mum has been putting off going to seek help for her hearing for well over a year so I booked her a free hearing check online. The whole process has been very straightforward and the staff in Hythe branch couldn’t have been more helpful. The test itself was explained at each stage and she now has 2 hearing aids. They are so discreet and she is astonished at how much she hasn’t been hearing & wishes she had done it sooner. Top marks for a really friendly and informative service with all aftercare thoroughly explained, making mum feel a valued customer not just a number!

My daughter (aged 6) had an eye test recently and was prescribed some new glasses. All the team were so lovely and interacted with her. The optician was great at making my daughter feel comfortable and did not rush her.
There was a great choice of children's glasses with most of them being free which is even better! The glasses have been delivered very quickly, so she can start wearing them pretty much straight away.
Great experience will definitely be back when my eye test is due :)

Been without heating aids fir some time now where the I did have stopped working did not replace them but not getting some more after my hearing test

I purchased a pair of hearing aids here and found the staff to be extremely helpful, friendly and professional. My Audiologist assisted me in selecting just the right items to suit my budget and the result was far
more superior than previous instruments I have bought elsewhere. My experience has been such that I have now purchased a new pair of glasses and reading glasses from their equally capable optical team. I have no qualms in recommending Scrivens in Hythe if one is in need of any of their line of services. Nicely done!
