Unfortunately, I came in last week to have a look at the new frames whilst looking around I noticed the staff was growing more frustrated at another customer choosing their frames and was rolling her eyes to another staff member to which she laughed and muttered something under her breath back to her. When the customer left they continued backbiting about the customer whilst I was still present which I found not only rude but unprofessional. When I asked where Claire was, I was told that she is the new manager in a snide way to which I really didn’t appreciate. So thank you scrivens for the previous years of looking after me but from now on I will take my business over to specsavers.

One of the screws had fell out of my glasses and I rang Scrivens in Thirsk asking if they did repairs. I spoke to Hannah and after a couple of questions about what the damage was (a missing screw) she told to bring them in.
I arrived about 2 mins before closing time and Hannah and her colleague sorted me out with one of those awkward little screws my sausage fingers couldn't even pick up. Sorted with 1 minute to spare and no charge. Great customer service. Thank you both

The ladies there were so lovely and full of knowledge. The frame choice was fabulous and I was given lots of help and support to choose what would be right for me.
I ordered a pair of glasses and was advised they would be about a week, they arrived within 3 days.
I will definitely be returning to the Thirsk branch and will recommend to friends and family. 5 star experience.

Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care in Thirsk is located at 13 Market Place opposite Nationwide Building Society. Parking can usually be found along Market Place and there are two bus stops nearby – one for local buses and one for National Express services. The train station is approximately 25 minutes walk from the branch on Station Road. Market Days are Monday and Saturday.

The Scrivens Thirsk branch offers both eye and hearing services which includes NHS eyecare services, private eye examinations, contact lenses over 60s eyecare, free kids eyecare, free hearing health check, hearing screening, hearing aid services and mould retubing. Digital hearing aids, hearing protection, hearing aid batteries and designer frames from well-known brands such as Calvin Klein, Kate Spade and Polo Ralph Lauren are also available at the Thirsk Scrivens Branch.
