The Joules brand was originally established by Tom Joules in 1989. Inspired by bright and colourful country themes, Tom saw a gap in the market for bright country clothing as an alternative to traditional styles; he produced 100 pairs of pink wellington boots that sold out immediately and the Joules name was born.

In 2014, the countryside got brighter when the Joules brand launched a collection of frames with the same instantly recognisable floral patterns as seen in the clothing ranges. The founder of the company, Tom Joules said: “We’re extremely proud of the first Joules eyewear collection.” The women only collection has been specially hand crafted with petite sizing to ensure that the frames are an ideal fit for all face shapes.
