Branch teams don their Denim for Dementia
Post on 1st June 2023
Scrivens team members up and down the country proudly donned their denim during Dementia Action Week (15-21 May), Alzheimer’s Society’s awareness raising campaign. Each year, Alzheimer’s Society works with individuals and organisations across the UK to encourage people to help make a difference in the lives of people affected by dementia.
Not only did our incredible employees put together some ‘jeanius’ outfits to show their support, but they also raised funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s Society through raffles, cake and book sales.
In addition to the funds raised by our branch teams, we also donated £1 for every hearing screening during Dementia Action Week.
There is evidence of a link between uncorrected hearing loss and dementia, including Alzheimer’s. Left untreated, hearing loss can also leave people at risk of developing other problems, such as isolation and depression, so there is an urgent need for continued research and support.
We here at Scrivens, are proud to be supporting Alzheimer’s Society for an eighth successive year.
