A loyal customer was given VIP treatment when he was invited to officially open a new look opticians and hearing care store in Kentish Town.
Abraham Seyrum-Zerefu, 63, has lived locally for over 25 years and has trusted Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care on Kentish Town Road, with his family’s eye care for the past 13 years. He cut the ribbon to reveal the reimagined space and received a gift in recognition of his long-standing loyalty.
Abraham’s kind nature and community spirit were reasons why the local team chose him as their VIP.
Branch manager Doulat Richards said: “Abraham is such a wonderful and loyal customer; he always pops in for a chat if he is passing. It really is a family relationship, as we have seen his three children grow up to become lovely young adults and they, along with his wife Rahale, continue to be our customers to this day.
“With the work he does helping to feed and clothe the homeless locally and as a carer companion for people with disabilities through his work’s voluntary scheme, Abraham is most definitely a worthy VIP.
“We’re delighted to welcome customers into our refurbished branch. The new layout and technology allow us to offer a truly interactive, personalised experience, helping customers feel more confident when choosing their eyewear – and it felt only right to celebrate that with someone who’s been part of our story for so long.”
The branch has been transformed with upgraded consultation areas, designed to make it easier for customers to explore their eyewear options.
As well as a new look, the branch has been fitted with Nikon’s latest lens consultation technology – customers can now try out different lens designs and see how a new prescription might perform day-to-day, before the lenses are even made.
Abraham said: “My family and I have been going to Scrivens for many years and the service is always second to none, which is why I recommend them to everyone. When the team asked me to officially open the new look branch, I was surprised.
“The branch is so light and airy, plus the new range of glasses looks amazing. Being involved in the official launch was a truly special occasion – I was definitely given the VIP treatment. I wish them continued success.”
