A Crawley Down couple were given a “lovely surprise” when they were asked to officially open a new hearing care branch in East Grinstead town centre.
Peter Wilkinson, 78, has been a loyal customer of Scrivens Hearing Care for more than 12 years, with wife Philippa, also 78, accompanying him to his appointments.
And they were the first names that came to mind for the reopening celebrations at the hearing care branch, which has moved to larger premises on London Road, doubling the number of testing rooms from two to four. The branch has also taken on a hearing care assistant and will be welcoming an additional audiologist to the team.
Branch manager, Mandi Harrigan, said: “We are thrilled with the new branch – it’s so much brighter and we can offer more appointments for our customers in a convenient location in the town centre as demand for our services continues to grow.
“It was a real pleasure to welcome the Wilkinsons to be our VIPs as they have been such loyal customers over the years and this was our way of saying thank you.”
The new branch has been given the thumbs up by Peter Wilkinson, who is a retired chartered engineer. He said: “We couldn’t believe it when Mandi asked us to open the branch. It was a lovely surprise. I’ve been coming here since 2014 with Philippa, and the team have always looked after us. We wish them the very best in their new home.”
