I saw the hearing specialist Aaminah, who was so lovely. She explained everything from start to finish in layman's terms.
You honestly couldn't have asked for anyone nicer.
The recommendations were spot on , daily care and aftercare explained and any queries in between are dealt with promptly with no fuss.
I love the fact they send you reminders too.
All the staff are lovely but Aaminah stands out for me.

Scrivens Radcliffe is excellent been going since 2021 friendly staff Steven is lovely and assists you in finding the perfect pair of glasses and fit you feel has if you're a friend and not just a customer my eye test was thorough the store is clean and tidy I'm lucky I live near by so it's a walk away I highly recommend for your eye care needs

My mum has gone to Scrivens for glasses and eye tests for many years (since it was maxwell Kays) and wouldn’t go anywhere else. The staff are friendly and helpful. They genuinely care about being thorough and doing a good job. John, the manager, is always very welcoming and kind, he makes sure that my mums glasses fit correctly and that she is completely happy with them. Great service, thoroughly recommended.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a genuinely friendly welcome that immediately put me at ease. The whole atmosphere was calm, quiet, and really well-organised—no waiting around at all, which made the visit feel smooth and stress-free.

A special mention to Steven, who gave me one-to-one help when choosing new frames. He was incredibly patient, attentive, and really took the time to understand what suited me, offering thoughtful suggestions without any pressure. It made what can sometimes feel like a tricky decision actually really enjoyable.

Sammy, the optician, was equally impressive—super informative and thorough throughout the eye test. Everything was explained clearly, and I felt completely confident in the care and advice I was given.

Overall, a brilliant experience from start to finish: professional, welcoming, and genuinely customer-focused. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Thank you

The Radcliffe Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care branch is located between Pearlywinks craft shop and the Overdraught bar.

There are numerous bus services, which stop near to our Radcliffe Scrivens branch, including numbers 98, 524 and 513. Radcliffe bus station is also a five-minute walk from the branch. Alternatively, if you are coming by car there is free parking available in front of and behind the branch. For rail users, the nearest train station Radcliffe Metrolink, which is a five minute walk from our Radcliffe branch.

Our Scrivens Radcliffe branch has plenty on offer when it comes to eyecare and hearing services. Whether you need a new pair of prescription glasses, designer sunglasses, contact lenses or an eye test, our highly skilled team are on hand to help. We are also pleased to offer NHS eyecare services, private eye examinations, over 60s eyecare and free kids eyecare at the Radcliffe store. The Scrivens team are able to ensure this is a stress-free, enjoyable process.

You will also be able to find a number of designer frames at Radcliffe Scrivens. Brands such as Radley, Calvin Klein and Guess are just a few of the designers available to purchase alongside Scrivens’ own-brand.

NHS Adult Hearing Services

Our Radcliffe branch offers NHS adult hearing service to patients over 19 years old based on a referral from your GP. Once referred by your GP we can provide a full hearing assessment and we will supply NHS digital hearing aids, free of charge, if you have a hearing loss.
