All eyes on local customer who launces Herne Bay opticians

A Herne Bay resident stepped into the spotlight when he was chosen to officially open a newly relocated opticians in the town.

Michael Moore, 64, performed the honours at Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, which has moved to a larger unit on Mortimer Street. He received a gift to mark the occasion and in recognition of his loyal custom over the past 12 years.

The new store now includes an additional testing room, bringing the total to three. Customers can also choose from an updated range of frames, including a wider selection of the latest designer names.

Branch manager Ben Ditchfield said, “We have invested in the new store and wanted to celebrate its upgrade and relocation in a memorable way. Michael, a valued customer who trusted us with his and his family’s eyesight and hearing care for over a decade, was the perfect choice for our VIP. He always brightens our day when he visits the branch.”

Michael, who lives locally, was honoured to be asked to reveal the store’s new look.
