Post on 7th March 2017
A Peacehaven opticians chose a loyal customer, who at 103 is also its oldest, to officially launch its new branch.
Kathleen Flowers performed the honours at the Meridian Centre where Lesley Sones Opticians has moved to bigger premises and changed its name to Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care having become part of the Scrivens group two years ago. The delighted guest was presented with a bouquet of flowers and a gift voucher as a thank you.
Branch manager Susan Wickens said: “Kathleen is a lovely lady who has entrusted her eye care to us since 1999 and we thought it fitting if she launched our new premises.”
Kathleen, who has two children, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, said: “It was a lovely surprise to be asked to launch the new branch. I come here because the staff are really friendly and look after me.”
The new branch is just a few doors away from its previous site in the Meridian Centre. It boasts the latest digital eye examination equipment, and a new and updated range of frames, including the latest designer names. A full range of hearing care services is also provided.
Offers, including a £10 eye test and up to 50% off frames, will also celebrate the launch.
