Loyal customer launches re-located Shirley opticians
Post on 8th August 2023
Our Shirley Stratford Road branch looked to loyal a customer to officially launch its relocated store and celebrate the company’s 85th anniversary.
Charlie Brown, performed the honours at Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care, which has relocated to a new unit on the Stratford Road in Shirley and received a gift in recognition of his loyal custom.
Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care is a family run business which was established in 1938 and the Shirley branch team brought out the bunting and balloons to mark the special anniversary occasion at its newly relocated store.
The new branch features the latest digital eye examination equipment and an additional testing room. Customers can also choose from an updated range of frames, including a larger selection of the latest designer names.
Branch Manager Mark Bentley said: “Our new, relocated store looks fantastic and we wanted to mark its opening in style. Charlie has entrusted us with his eye and hearing care for many years and we were pleased to invite him into our new branch for a double celebration!
“Customers are at the heart of everything we do, and this important ethos has remained in place since the family business was established. We look forward to welcoming new and existing customers into the branch to celebrate our milestone anniversary and experience what 85 years of eye and hearing care knowledge looks like!”
Charlie, who has lived in the area for more than 40 years, said:
“The entire team at Scrivens is superb and always make me and my wife, Angie, feel very welcome; that’s why I recommend them to everyone I know. Their service is second to none and they’ve provided me with expert eye and hearing care, as well as referrals for additional NHS support. Thanks to the team, I feel reassured that my vision and hearing health are in safe hands.
“I felt very honoured to be chosen by the team to officially open the newly relocated branch and mark the beginning of their 85th anniversary festivities with them. It was a wonderful surprise!”
