Post on 29th December 2015
A Rhyl opticians chose a loyal customer of 14 years to officially launch its new branch.
Retired emergency medicine doctor David Cartlidge performed the honours at Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care on High Street and was presented with gift vouchers as a thank you.
Dr Cartlidge said: “I was happy to do it as the staff have been extremely helpful over the years. I need high power lenses and sometimes use bifocal and sometimes varifocals and setting them up for different distances can be difficult. I come back to Scrivens for the best treatment.”
Manager Andrew Bosley said: “Dr Cartlidge has entrusted his eye care to us for a long time and we thought it would be fitting if he launched our new premises.”
Rhyl was recently awarded the accolade of Branch of the Year in the North region by Scrivens in recognition of its quality of service and expertise.
