Ripley opticians is on the ball with football sponsorship

A Ripley opticians has scored a winner with young footballers thanks to a sponsorship donation for kit.
Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care at Commercial Buildings has given its support to Ripley Rangers FC by funding hooded training tops for its Under 9s, Under 10s and Under 13s teams.
Branch manager Emma Baldwin said: “As a family-owned business with strong links to the local community we were happy to help. The club is run by volunteers and needs the support of businesses in the town. We’ll follow the teams’ progress with added interest.”
Scrivens’ sales advisor Nichola Chrich has family ties to Ripley Rangers. Her sister Cheryl Chrich is the club’s child welfare officer and Cheryl’s sons Jacob Stuart, aged ten, and Riley Stuart, aged four, play there.
Cheryl said: “We are very grateful for Scrivens’ support as we need funding from businesses to help us to continue. We have been running for four years now and have 15 teams, from Under 6 to Under 18 level.
“We welcome boys and girls of all abilities who are interested in playing football. They are given an opportunity to play, have fun and develop with the club.”
