We are pleased to announce that Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care has appointed Steve Witts as our first NHS Hearing Development Manager. This strategic hire aims to build on the company’s NHS hearing services and partnerships, making hearing care even more accessible and tailored to patients’ needs.
Steve Witts is an audiology and healthcare service delivery expert with over 17 years of experience. He joins from OutsideClinic, the UK’s largest domiciliary service provider for optical and audiology care, where he held key positions, including Audiology Director. During his tenure, he oversaw successful mergers and achieved operational excellence, earning the prestigious Improving Quality in Physiological Services (IQIPS) accreditation.
“We are delighted to welcome Steve to the Scrivens family and have someone of his calibre join our team,” said Mark Georgevic, Director of Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care. “At Scrivens, we have always campaigned for wider collaboration in hearing care provision and look forward to continuing to work in partnership with the NHS to make hearing care even more accessible and tailored to patient needs. His strategic insight, operational expertise and focus on customer service make him a valuable addition to the Scrivens NHS Hearing team.”
A key part of Steve’s mandate will be to support the wider audiology sector by strengthening relationships with all stakeholders, but primarily with Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), Trusts, other NHS Providers and NHS England.
Steve added: “I am excited to join Scrivens and have this opportunity to work with Mark Georgevic and the rest of the hearing team to help build on the excellent reputation that Scrivens already has for NHS hearing care service provision.”
