A popular and long serving Scrivens employee has been honoured with our top accolade.
Regional manager, Linda D’Arcy, has received the prestigious Sasha Georgevic Award, which was established in 2004 in memory of the company’s late chairman, Sasha Georgevic and father to present chairman, Nicholas Georgevic and group legal director, Mark Georgevic.
Having started with the family run business 38 years ago, Linda’s first role at Scrivens was running its Wolverhampton branch, where she stayed for 15 years. Back then, the company had just 40 branches, but today she is one of four regional managers who support our teams across 169 Scrivens’ branches in England and Wales.
Nicholas said: “Linda is a hugely respected, dedicated and valued member of the team. She is well deserving of this recognition thanks to her passion for helping our colleagues deliver the best service and reach their personal potential. We can’t think of anyone else who has done more to support and develop so many Scrivens team members since she started with us all those years ago.”
Linda was honoured to receive the award and was lost for words when she learned of her achievement. She said: “I feel so lucky and privileged to have spent over three decades as a Scrivens team member. Being selected for this award by the directors, owners and my colleagues is a fantastic milestone in my career.
“I’m so grateful to Scrivens for giving me many opportunities to develop my skills during which the technology we use, and our offerings have also evolved.
“I love my job and the people I work with. My passion is people, and I work hard to ensure they have the same career opportunities I’ve enjoyed.”
The Sasha Georgevic Award is open for all Scrivens’ employees with a minimum of five years’ service and nominations are made by colleagues. Final selection is made by Nicholas and Mark Georgevic based on outstanding contribution to the business and/or customers, total commitment and all round dedication to Scrivens.
The late Sasha Georgevic was a qualified Hearing Aid Audiologist and a founding member of the Hearing Aid Council that governed and regulated private hearing dispensing in the UK from 1968 to 2010.
